Leah has been a valued part of the team at Warwick Applebee's for the last 10 years, working part-time in food preparation while also holding another role at Belmont Market in Wakefield. At Applebee's, she’s taken on different responsibilities, from prepping and portioning ingredients to even trialing work bussing tables. Her favorite item to prep? Burgers!
Recently, Jaclyn McKenna, her Career Developer at Perspectives, stopped by Applebee’s to catch up with Leah and meet with Michele, the bar manager. Michele shared, "Leah is excellent at what she does, I am very proud of her."
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Leah said, "The people I work with are really compassionate, really nice. I feel supported at work, if you need anything, they will help you."
At Perspectives, our Employment Services team provides job retention supports by maintaining communication with employers and checking in monthly to ensure everything is running smoothly. These ongoing supports have helped Leah thrive in her role for the past 10 years.
