Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
This policy explains what information the Perspectives Corporation website collects, how we use it and who we share it with. It covers perspectivescorporation.com and perspectivesri.com.
Perspectives Corporation provides services for children, youth and adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities in Rhode Island. Our offices are at 1130 Ten Rod Road, Suite B101, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
Information you give us
Contact forms
Our Contact Us page and the contact forms on some program pages ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional), a subject and your message. Your message is sent by email to the staff who handle that subject. When a form is sent, we also record the internet (IP) address it came from, which is included in the email we receive.
ASL classes
When you register for one of our American Sign Language classes, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, how you heard about the class, and which best describes you (for example, a parent or professional connected to an Early Intervention or home-based program, a Perspectives employee, or none of these), along with your service agency or program if you have one. This is saved in our class registration records so we can enroll you, and we email a confirmation to you and to our ASL program coordinator.
Class fees are paid online through PayPal. You enter your payment details with PayPal, not on our website. We receive the payment's transaction number, amount and status, which we keep with your registration.
Our ASL pages also have a sign-up form for ASL class updates by email. It asks for your email address, first and last name, and phone number (optional). This list is managed by our email service, Constant Contact, and every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Job applications
Our online employment application asks for the information we need to consider you for a job, including:
- your name, address, phone numbers and email address
- your Social Security number
- your eligibility to work in the United States, and whether you have a driver's license
- whether you have a criminal conviction, and if so, the details
- your work history, education, skills and activities
- the names and contact details of your references
- your resume, if you upload one
- your typed signature, and the internet (IP) address the application was signed from
Applications are stored in our own employment database and are used by our Human Resources staff to review your application. If you choose to save your application and finish it later, we email you a link to continue. When you submit, we email you a confirmation.
If you list someone as a reference, please make sure they are willing to be contacted.
Sign-in pages
The website has sign-in pages for Perspectives staff, for new employees completing orientation paperwork, and for Shared Living providers. These areas are for authorized users only. To protect accounts, we record sign-in attempts, including the username tried, the time and the internet (IP) address, and we temporarily block repeated failed attempts. Sign-ins to the new employee area also record the type of browser used.
Information collected automatically
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our website sets these:
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie (ASPSESSIONID) | Keeps your place while you use the site, for example while filling out a job application or after you sign in. | Until you close your browser |
| PerspectivesApplicant | Set only when you arrive at our careers pages from a tagged link, such as a QR code on a flyer or an online ad. It remembers which link brought you, so we can see which of our recruiting efforts work. It is attached to your application if you apply. | One year |
| LoginCookie | Counts failed sign-in attempts on the sign-in page. | About 20 minutes |
When someone arrives at our careers pages from a tagged link, we also record the visit: which link it was, the page, the date and time, and the type of browser. We do not record the visitor's IP address for this.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. Some parts of the site, such as the job application and sign-in pages, need the session cookie to work.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, such as which pages are visited, how visitors found us, their approximate location and the type of device they use. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and collects this information on Google's behalf. We use it to improve the site. We do not use Google Analytics on the job application pages.
You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can turn Google Analytics off in your browser with Google's opt-out add-on.
Content from other companies
Some of our pages include content or tools provided by other companies. When you view those pages, your browser connects to the other company, which can receive your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy:
- Google: fonts used across the site, and maps on our contact, program and job posting pages
- YouTube: videos on our interpreting services page
- Constant Contact: the ASL class updates sign-up form, which also uses Google reCAPTCHA to screen out automated sign-ups
- PayPal: the payment page for ASL class fees
Our share buttons and links to our Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages, and to job sites, are plain links: nothing is sent to those sites unless you click one, and then their own privacy policies apply.
How we use information
- To answer your questions and messages
- To review job applications and contact applicants
- To enroll people in ASL classes, take class payments, and send class updates to people who sign up for them
- To keep the website and its sign-in areas secure
- To understand how the website is used and improve it, including which recruiting efforts bring people to our careers pages
Who we share it with
Information you send through the website goes to the Perspectives staff who need it to respond or to review your application. PayPal handles class payments and Constant Contact manages our ASL class email list, each under its own privacy policy. We do not sell personal information. We may share information when required by law.
How long we keep it
We have not set fixed time limits for keeping the information described here. Job applications, resumes, class registrations and sign-in records stay in our records until they are removed, and messages sent through our contact forms stay in our staff email. If you would like to ask about removing information you sent us, contact us using the details below.
Security
Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the sign-in areas require a username and password or a code sent by email. No website can be completely secure, so please don't send health information or anything else you consider highly sensitive through our website forms.
Your choices
- You can browse most of our website without giving us any personal information.
- You can block or delete cookies and turn off Google Analytics, as described above.
