Home-Based Therapeutic Services

Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services

Perspectives Deaf and Hard of Hearing Home-Based Therapeutic Services are designed for children aged 3-21 with recognized hearing loss who may have complex health care needs or who are at risk for chronic physical, developmental or behavioral conditions.

Support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children

Home-based services are designed to provide support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing children ages 3-21 or for families who have Deaf or Hard of Hearing parent(s). All language modalities used by the family are honored. Children receiving services have additional complex health care needs or a behavioral health diagnosis.

  • This team includes licensed clinicians, treatment coordinators, program managers and Behavior Specialists, all of whom have familiarity working with the DHOH population.
  • Individualized family centered programs that are designed to empower families to work with your team by creating and developing a treatment plan based on your family and child’s schedule and needs.
  • We provide training in how to best support your child’s potential, learn behavior strategies and support, everyday skill coaching for your child, and support participation in their community of choice.
  • We have special expertise in language development and work with your family to provide in-home supports, education and resources to create a language-rich environment that best works for your family. ASL classes are available at no cost to all families receiving HBTS services.

Individualized Programs

We believe that every child should be fully included in the world around them no matter how they communicate.

To support a child's development, we create individualized programs that are family-centered, recognizing that the family is a critical part of the implementation team. We bring together an interdisciplinary team that supports and works with families to find positive ways to help their child thrive.
