American Sign Language Classes

Adults and youth ages 16 and up are eligible to register for American Sign Language classes at Perspectives.

The full cost of tuition is $150 per student. This price includes a non-refundable $25 processing fee. The tuition fee is waived for Perspectives employees.

TRUE+WAY ASL has upgraded their curriculum to the 3rd Edition.

Registration and subscription for the TRUE+WAY ASL website must be purchased separately, the subscription may be purchased through the TRUE+WAY ASL website. Be aware the code is limited to one time use per person per session.

With the new Edition, the cost of each Unit of the TRUE+WAY ASL Curriculum for Units 1 through 12 is $15 per unit. Each Perspectives Level covers two Units per session.

• Perspectives Level 1A - Units 1 & 2 = $30
• Perspectives Level 1B - Units 3 & 4 = $30
• Perspectives Level 1C - Units 5 & 6 = $30
• Perspectives Level 2A - Units 7 & 8 & 9 = $36

The cost for TRUE+WAY ASL Units 13 through 18 is $20 per unit. (2 units - $40, non-applicable)

At the conclusion of classes, a Certificate of Completion will be awarded by the University of Rhode Island (URI) Feinstein Providence Campus, Office of Special Programs, for a $25 fee. CEU credits for Professional Development will also be provided.

URI is the sole higher education partner with Perspectives Corporation in the awarding of a Certificate of Completion with CEU credits. Each person must complete at least one CEU unit, which requires a minimum of ten contact hours of participation that is verified by Perspectives Corporation, in order to be granted any CEUs. Additional hours beyond the first ten will also be annotated on the Certificate.

To receive a class tuition refund, students must withdraw within 7 days of the first class. $25.00 of student tuition is a non-refundable processing fee.
