OVERVIEW

ASL Training Specialists facilitate trainings for both current employees and members of the community. The ASL Training Specialist will provide ongoing support to participants, providing 1:1 instruction, if needed.

Hours & Schedule: Varied to include: Tuesday & Thursday 9:30 am-12:00 pm and/or 5:30 pm-8:00 pm (virtual sessions and in-person classes).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalents
• Previous facilitation of training experience
• Strong presentation and public-speaking abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Ability to be proactive, self-motivated and self-directed
• Fluent in American Sign Language
• Awareness of and sensitivity to Deaf/Hard ofHearing (DHOH) culture
• Flexible schedule
• Reliable transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel & Word
• ASL TA Certification
