OVERVIEW
Perspectives Corporation’s Nurse is a mobile position – traveling between Perspectives programs throughout the state of RI. This position will be mostly in Westerly and the surrounding areas.
The Nurse is responsible for ensuring the overall health and physical well-being of the individuals served. This position is responsible for safe medication administration and medical procedures through appropriate delegation, as well as providing optimal clinical support. In addition, the Nurse is responsible for ensuring that agency policies and procedures are implemented correctly and that the individuals served live valued and high-quality lives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse with current license in the state of Rhode Island
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Nursing
- Broad-based nursing knowledge in: anatomy, physiology, nursing diagnosis-treatment, treatment planning
- Effective time management skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Supervision experience
- Must have a safe driving record (no more than 2 moving violations within a 3-year period)
- Must have a favorable Criminal Background Check.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to personal, insured vehicle.
- Travel required in multiple locations, mostly the Westerly area
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of nursing experience
- Preference is given to individuals with nursing experience in the intellectual / development disability (IDD) population and community or psychiatric nursing
- Ability to work independently and with autonomy
- Experience and comfort in delivering trainings
- Ability to be flexible with daily schedule
