MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

OVERVIEW
General Position Description
Under general supervision of the Director of Environmental, Transportation & Safety performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of grounds, office facility, and equipment. Performs related duties and projects as assigned.
Broad Areas of Responsibility
While working in a team, the general maintenance and repair of residential programs, office facilities and sites; assemble furniture and fixtures; monitor building systems, including boilers, generators, pumps to ensure safety and efficiency; diagnose issues with equipment, systems, and infrastructure, and carry out timely repairs to restore functionality and minimize downtime; coordinate with other departments, vendors, and contractors to facilitate repairs, improvements, or major maintenance projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 5-7 years experience with advanced carpentry and framing techniques, door/window installation, stair/decking/railing installation and repair, and plumbing/HVAC repair, electrical repair
- Ability to operate power equipment such as mowers, tractors, electric clippers, and pruning saws. Ensure that all tools running at optimal performance
- Knowledge of quality control and code compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in the installation of dishwashers, washers, dryers and appliances
- Own the tools to perform the above tasks
- Able to perform general physical activities - Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle, and a favorable driving record.
- Must have a favorable Criminal Background Check (BCI)
- Knowledge of computer operation and use of smartphone
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Have a working knowledge of all Perspectives Corporation program sites and facilities
- Journeyman/Master Carpenter credentials
- HVAC or EPA Certification
