OVERVIEW
Perspectives Corporation is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team! The internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of HR including recruitment and retention strategies, performance management and technology assistance. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with HR professionals and gain exposure to different areas of HR. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is pursuing a career in Human Resources and wants to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administration of various HR programs and initiatives, such as recruitment, performance management, and training development.
- Support HR sourcing efforts by assisting with candidate phone screening and interview coordination.
- Add phone screen notes into Employee Care
- Send “Thanks, but no thanks” emails to applicants who do not qualify
- Check inventory of recruitment materials as needed
- Assisting the HR Recruiter with coordinating job fairs, career events, etc.
- Assist with reviewing and sending messages to applicants via Handshake
- Auditing applicant and employee electronic files to ensure accuracy (on agency drive and HRIS)
- Scanning and saving HR related documents
- Assisting with in-person training set up and/or assisting with setting up online (zoom) trainings
- Supporting HR Assistant in troubleshooting technical training issues with new and existing employees
- Photocopying training materials as needed
- Completing other HR projects as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimal Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with 1 year of college level education or minimum of 6 college credits within Human Resources or related field
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and software:
- Word processing (Word)
- Spreadsheets (Excel)
- Presentations (PowerPoint)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks/meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently, with excellent time management skills
- Must be able to problem solve and take initiative
- Maintains high level of confidentiality of employee records
- Able to work alongside HR team to aid in areas relating to recruitment, hiring, personnel records and training
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of HR principles and practices is a plus
- A college degree or certificate within the Human Resources field
- Administrative experience within a professional work environment
- Experience with database systems (Solana, ProviderPro, Employee Care)
