The Licensed Clinician is the team member primarily responsible for overseeing the HBTS Treatment Plan and reporting on the goals and objectives during renewal and progress reports as required. Is also required to observe and supervise all Behavior Technicians assigned to each Treatment Plan as outlined in the standards, as well as communicating with all collateral agencies and providers, and keeping all treatment and case records current. In addition, the Licensed Clinician is responsible for ensuring that the Agency policies and procedures are implemented correctly.


Broad Areas of Responsibility:

Participating in Agency activities, serving on committees, communicating the Agency’s values and principles to others; assisting in staff management and leadership; providing training and mentoring to new and existing employees; guiding and supervising the work of Behavior Technician by setting clear expectations and monitoring progress; recognizing and valuing the skills and input of employees; implementing best practice measures in relation to all clinical and counseling responsibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Minimal Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with active licensure in one of the following: independent clinical social worker, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor, or psychologist
  • Must not have more than 2 moving violations within a 3 year period
  • Must have a clean criminal and DCYF background check
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must have experience working with children with special healthcare needs

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced licensure as a healthcare professional in Rhode Island or active licensure from an issuing state and eligible to apply for reciprocity
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese)
  • LGBTQ cultural competence
  • Ability to collect and analyze data
  • Ability to clinically supervise and train Direct Support Professionals
  • Considerable knowledge of clinical treatments (skill building, behavior reduction, etc.) trends and resources for children with special health care needs
