Assistant Controller
Finance Department
Perspectives Corporation is now hiring an Assistant Controller to work in our Finance Department.
Salary Range: $45.00-$50.00 based on experience
OVERVIEW
Assists the Director of Finance. Responsibilities include: preparing accurate and timely financial reports, reconciliations of the general ledger and investment accounts, coordinating monthly closings, and assisting with year-end external audits, payroll reconciliations, and tax reporting. Additionally, tasks involve preparing agency income tax work papers and client income tax returns, as well as conducting ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Broad Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for overseeing the agency's accounting cycle, culminating in the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely monthly internal income statements for all agency programs. Assigns work, monitors department work flow, and supports staff with systems and task-related problems resolution, responsible for preparation and/or review of tax and other regulatory reporting, maintains auxiliary fixed asset system, coordinates annual external audit, Assists Director of Finance with preparation of related entity workpapers through trial balance, creation, review and/or maintenance of accounting controls, job descriptions, and procedures, onboarding of new accounting systems and functions as needed, and ad hoc reporting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimal Qualifications
- Must have a BA/BS Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Must have 5 years of experience in financial operations
- Solid Microsoft Excel and Database systems skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Able to multitask
- Records information in a timely manner
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to self-initiate and work independently, and work within a team
Desired Qualifications
- Familiar with fully integrated ERP systems
- Recent public accounting experience preferred
- Prior experience working in human service industry
- Prior experience working with Solana Pro Provider
