Fiscal Assistant
Self Directed Services
Perspectives Corporation is now hiring a Fiscal Assistant to work in our Self Directed Services program.
OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Self-Directed Supports Fiscal Coordinator, the Fiscal Assistant is responsible for: oversight of new employee onboarding including coordination and follow up with necessary on-boarding documents for self-directed workers. Manages, processes, troubleshoots payroll for Self-Directed Services. Supports sole-proprietors with worker’s compensation insurance submitting and renewals. Work closely with SDS team members, departments within Perspectives, BHDDH and associated agencies throughout the state.
Broad Areas of Responsibility:
- Budget oversight
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Coordination of worker’s compensation, including payment and initial setup
- Communicating the agency’s values and principles to others
- Family contact
- Communicating with state agencies (DLT, BHDDH, Healthsource, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimal Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience assisting financial operations and/or financial personnel
- Basic knowledge in understanding the fundamental accounting principles, including credits, debits, and bookkeeping
- Strong verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills to plan effectively and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through with paperwork
- Strong decision-making skills, good judgment, and the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of people who have disabilities
- The ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with others
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications, with the ability to work with database systems
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insured vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Financial Management and/or a related financial field
- Direct support experience in community human services
- Familiarity with Self-Directed Services and regulations, as well as understanding of BHDDH funding and billing
