Fiscal Assistant

Self Directed Services

Perspectives Corporation is now hiring a Fiscal Assistant to work in our Self Directed Services program.


OVERVIEW


Under the direction of the Self-Directed Supports Fiscal Coordinator, the Fiscal Assistant is responsible for: consulting with individuals interested in self directing their services and discussing the responsibilities of self-directed services; coordinating referral meetings and necessary paperwork/documentation; coordination and follow up with necessary on-boarding documents for self-directed workers. Additional responsibilities may include processing payroll and oversight of contracts.

Broad Areas of Responsibility:

  • Budget oversight
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Coordination of worker’s compensation
  • Communicating the agency’s values and principles to others
  • Family contact

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Minimal Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Strong verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to be able to plan effectively & efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong decision-making skills, good judgment and the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of people who have disabilities
  • The ability to work auto autonomously and in collaboration with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications and the ability to work with database systems
  • Mathematically proficient

Desired Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding BHDDH funding & billing
