OVERVIEW


The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support to the HR Department, specifically in the area of recruitment and hiring, to ensure quality human resource and training services to employees. Provides exceptional customer service to all agency-wide departments, employees, and applicants.

Responsibilities:

Providing comprehensive, reliable assistance and support to the Human Resources Department specifically in the area of recruitment and hiring. On a daily basis, maintains accuracy in a HRIS database completing all applicant tasks in a timely manner. Provides exceptional follow through with email communication to all applicants and employees. Assists with additional HR and training projects, as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Minimal Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and software:
    • Word processing (Word)
    • Spreadsheets (Excel)
    • Presentations (PowerPoint)
    • Database (Solana, ProviderPro, Employee Care)
  • 1-2 years of experience in providing assistance to Human Resource professionals
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task
  • Effective, professional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak/present in front of large groups
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Able to work independently, with excellent time management skills
  • Able to prioritize tasks and priorities
  • Must be able to problem solve and take initiative
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality of employee records
  • Knowledge of recruitment platforms (Indeed.com) and recruitment strategies
  • Experience with onboarding new employees
  • Must have availability to assist with trainings (set up, break down) outside of normal business hours

Desired Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or a 2 year degree or certificate in the human resources or related field
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Applications and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience, including recruitment, hiring, personnel records, benefits and training.
  • Knowledge of editing videos and its content
  • Current notary and experience notarizing documents
  • Experience with interviewing applicants
  • Administrative experience and professionalism
