JOB DESCRIPTION


Director of 24hr Services

The Director of 24 Hour Services is responsible for the supervision and management of 24 hour supported program environments for adults with various disabilities. Responsibilities include: Mentors and trains Management Positions, responds appropriately to emergency situations; oversees the delivery of person-centered supports; assesses the overall effectiveness and operations of Adult Residential Services and Shared Living Arrangements. This responsibility is fulfilled through planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the staff and systems within these programs.

As Director of 24hr Services you will also be responsible for:

  • Participating in agency activities, serving on committees, and communicating the agency's values and principles to others
  • Coordinating and monitoring effective activities
  • Providing training and mentoring to new and existing employees
  • Summarizing data on progress

REQUIREMENTS


Minimal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 year of direct support experience in community human services
  • Knowledge of Perspectives’ policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of BHDDH’s licensing regulations & certification standards
  • Familiarity with the compliance licensing regulations and certification standards
  • Ensures homes are safe, well maintained, comfortable and free from hazards
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous residential management experience
  • Proven management and leadership ability
  • Strong decision-making skills, good judgment and the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of people who have disabilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications and the ability to work with database systems
  • Valid driver’s license, access to insured vehicle and favorable driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or equivalent
  • Person-centered Thinking Facilitator/Advisor Training Certificate of Completion
