Perspectives Corporation is now hiring an Chief Operating Officer (COO).


Perspectives Corporation is a multi-faceted, dynamic, private for-profit agency operating on a $35-40 million dollar budget that provides support to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout the State of Rhode Island. With over 45 years of experience serving the communities of Rhode Island, Perspectives has the professionals and experts who work with families and individuals in our early intervention programs (Youth and Family Services) to Adult Services (Residential Services and Day Services) to end of life care. Perspectives is a leading Agency in with providing specialized services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, Self Directed Services, Shared Living Arrangements (SLA), ABA services, Behavioral Health Services and more!

Perspectives Corporation is searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) who has strong leadership skills to lead our team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective in delivering high quality services. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way to an executive role. We are looking for a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with practices, policies, and knowledge of regulations and standards of our industry.



OBJECTIVES


  • Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in setting and driving Agency vision, operations strategy, and hiring of Director/Leadership roles.
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing Agency-wide goal setting, and annual operations planning.
  • Oversee Agency operations under the direction of the CEO to continue building a highly inclusive culture that ensures employees can thrive and that Agency goals are met.
  • Ensure effective recruiting efforts, on-boarding strategies, professional development, performance management, and retention strategies.
  • Partner with Chief Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with Federal and State of Rhode Island regulations, specifically The Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals (BHDDH), and take appropriate action when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Analyze Agency operations and identify areas for process enhancement and efficiency.
  • Assists CEO with implementing business strategies and plans that align with the short-term and long-term objectives of the Agency.
  • Oversee operations in HR and Finance/Accounting.
  • Partner with the CEO to research and seek out Agency growth opportunities
  • Serve as a community liaison to build and maintain trusting relationships with key stakeholders, consumers, and caregivers.

REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
  • Excellent leadership skills, with determination and personal integrity
  • Solid understanding of advanced business planning and Agency growth
  • Solid grasp of data analysis of Finance and performance metrics
  • Ability to identify problems, brainstorm and analyze answers, and implement the best solutions
