Assistant Director
Adult Residential Services
Perspectives is seeking an Assistant Director to work in our Adult Residential Services program.
OVERVIEW
The Assistant Director of Adult Residential Services is responsible for assisting the Director with the supervision and management of program environments for adults with various disabilities. Responsibilities include: Mentor and train; responds appropriately to emergency situations; oversees the delivery of person-centered supports; assesses the overall effectiveness and operations of Adult Residential Services. This responsibility is fulfilled through planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the staff and systems within these programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participating in agency activities, serving on committees, and communicating the agency’s values and principles to others; coordinating and monitoring effective activities; providing training and mentoring to new and existing employees; summarizing data on progress.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimal Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3-5 year of direct support experience in community human services
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Perspectives’ policies and procedures
- Familiar with State licensing regulations & certification standards
- Experience with Individual Support Plan (ISP) process including plan development, implementation and outcome measurement
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong decision-making skills, sound judgment and the ability to effectively advocate on behalf of people with disabilities
- Previous residential management experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications and the ability to work with database systems
- Valid driver’s license, access to insured vehicle and favorable driving record
Desired Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Person-centered practice certification
