Home-Based Therapeutic Services (HBTS)
Services for children and youth with disabilities in RI In 1997 Perspectives Corporation established a Youth and Family Services Program to help children with special health care needs learn the skills they need to become active, participating members of the larger community. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to advance toward full inclusion in the world around them.

To support a child's development, we create individualized programs that are family-centered, recognizing that parents or guardians are a critical part of the implementation team. We bring together an interdisciplinary team that supports and works with families to find positive ways to deal with the many challenges posed by a child's disabilities. Depending upon what Home-Based Therapeutic Services services and expertise are needed, this support team can be comprised of a treatment consultant, clinical supervisor, treatment coordinator, and behavioral specialist.

Our HBTS is designed for eligible children ages 3-21 with special health care needs or who are at risk for chronic physical, developmental or behavioral conditions.

Our Home-Based Therapeutic Services include:

  • Behavior Management
  • Social & Daily Living Skills
  • Community Integration
  • Parenting Skills Training

Referrals

To participate in our Home Based Therapeutic Services, parents and guardians must first access one of the CEDARR Family Centers for a complete family assessment and referral. CEDARR will make referrals to an agency based on the determination that HBTS is appropriate for the child and a family request can direct a referral toward providers they may prefer.
