Looking for your children to have an enriching experience this summer? Look no further. Perspectives offers an Integrated Therapeutic Summer Program and “Integrated” in that we provide services for Children ages 4-14 years of age with or without disabilities from 10am – 2pm located in Charlestown, Rhode Island and runs 5 days a week for 7 weeks (June 29th - August 14th).
Our staff are a highly trained and committed group of professionals and paraprofessionals. Many of our staff are returning college students who are pursuing degrees in education, psychology and social work. All staff are screened with comprehensive background checks and driving record reviews as part of our careful screening process. Professional staff are present weekly to provide oversight, clinical guidance and to facilitate individual and group therapies.
Additionally, Perspectives Integrated Therapeutic Summer Program provides academic instruction for individuals who require continued academic support and skill maintenance throughout their extended school year plan. This direct instruction is individualized and in accordance with each child’s identified academic needs outlined in their IEP. The academic portion of the Therapeutic Summer Program is located at the Narragansett Elementary School in Narragansett, and is in session on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8:15 – 11:15 am. Transportation from the Narragansett School to the Charlestown based program is available for the students to join the other students for the remainder of the program day
Moreover, our schedule is packed with entertaining activities including weekly arts and crafts, life skills, pottery painting, horse back riding, water parks, beaches, drumming class, story teller, baseball game, young writers workshop and much more.
