Perspectives Introduces Therapeutic Classroom for Autism Spectrum Disorder
POSTED: March 27, 2009
Perspectives Corporation is pleased to introduce The Perspectives Corporation Therapeutic Classroom for Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Therapeutic Classroom is designed to offer children with autism the opportunity to receive intensive behavioral intervention that is specifically tailored to meet their individual educational, behavioral, and social needs in a manner that has been demonstrated to produce best outcomes in terms of both short and long term independent functioning.
Moreover, teaching children using evidence based procedures is an essential component of our instructional philosophy. This instructional technology is derived from behavioral principles that are based on more than 50 years of scientific and clinical research. Such research demonstrates that the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) constitute a sound basis for intervention with children with autism. Presently, no other form of intervention offers comparable evidence of effectiveness.
Finally, intensive individualization is provided to students by licensed special educators and highly trained para-professionals who are proficient in Discrete Trial Instruction (DTI), the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as in the language based curriculum system implemented in the Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) Program at Perspectives Corporation. Our philosophy is a holistic one, focusing on the child, their family, and all those who touch and enrich their lives. Our Therapeutic Classroom is located at Sunshine Child Development Center.
