In order to draw attention to the budget cuts for people with developmental disabilities, there is a rally planned for October 11, 2011 from 4 PM - 8 PM at the State House. More specifics will be available mid-week.

Great Turnout for the 7th Annual Memorial Road Race

The day was perfect for our 7th Annual Memorial 5k Road Race and 1 mile Fun Walk. The goal of this race continues to be to remember the people that the agency has supported who have passed away in our care and raise money for a memorial fund to assist with burial expenses. Our In addition, this event invites the community to compete and connect with our agency. Many of the participants have run the race for the past 7 years.
 
 
This year many of our employees, people we support and spouses, sisters, brothers-in-law, mothers, fathers, mothers-in-law and friends of Perspectives ran in the race. Thank you to all of you who came out to help with various tasks on race day. Without all of you this event could not happen. Thank you to +Organization Plus+ Road Race Management Services-Meredith Nelson and her staff for providing us with the start, finish and results. Thank you to all of the runners & walkers who came and brought friends.
 
Perspectives Annual Memorial Road Race!

August 23, 2011Once again we are holding our 7th Annual Perspectives Memorial 5k Road Race at Goddard Park on Sunday September 11, 2011, 10:00 a.m.
 
 
All Perspectives Employees can register at a reduced rate of $10 [either by mail or drop off at the main office]. All community people can register on line at www.strands.com/events.
 
 
It is a time to remember the people we supported who have passed away while in our care. In addition, there is a 1 mile fun walk at a cost of $2.00. This race also provides the Ocean State Senior Olympics an opportunity to qualify for their National Games.
 
 
If you are not a runner, please sign up to help out on race day. Information regarding volunteer opportunities will be available soon.
